Summer is over and we are back in the greenhouse and in the fields, getting ready for another delectable season of local, organic produce! The harvest season begins with arugula (the best on the planet) in mid-November and we are aiming to have green beans ready for Thanksgiving. Unlike “up north” or from wherever you hail, our membership differs from a CSA (Community-Supported-Agriculture) in that you decide what goes into your box and how often you pick one up. If you want to ski for a month in February – no problem! The membership fee acts as a pre-paid credit that you spend down over the course of the season. Credits do not carry over to the next year, but we will remind you each month of your balance and encourage you to use it. Members receive better pricing than available in the market and first choice of the available produce. And they feel good knowing they literally provided the seed money to start the season.
